Joseph M. Cook

Joseph M. Cook, 63, of Williamston, Michigan passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was born in Flint, Michigan on September 29, 1955 the son of Leonard & Gordene (Wheeler) Cook. In October of 1984, he married Heidi Strnad in East Lansing, Michigan. They shared 14 years and two children together before she predeceased him in 1998. An avid lover of the outdoors, Joe found joy in fishing and hours spent on the golf course. He could also frequently be found at the hockey rink with the guys, indulging in his lifelong passion for the game. Joe moved “up north” to Gladwin County 2 years ago to enjoy life at the cabin, on the river. He was owner of A.Q. Environmental in Williamston. His memory will be cherished by his daughter: Whitney Cook of Washington DC; son: Zachary (Kim) Cook of Wixom, Michigan. He will be sadly missed by his fur grandpup: Dawson and brothers: John (Linda) Bovine of North Carolina; Thomas Cook of Flint, Michigan; Timothy Cook of Beaverton, Michigan; half-sister: Rhonda Sturgis of Birch Run, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his wife: Heidi Cook; parents: Leonard & Gordene Cook; brother: Dennis Bovine; and prized fur child: Alex. Memorial Services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Okemos Community Church, Okemos, Michigan. Family will begin greeting guests at 10am and kindly requests no flowers.
