Joan K. Johnson

Joan K. Johnson, 77, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. She was born on February 24, 1940, the daughter of Charles & Martha (Camp) Sweatland in St. Charles, Michigan. On February 28, 1987 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Johnson Jr. in Corpus Christi, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was employed by the State of Texas as a social worker until her retirement in 2000. She has lived in Gladwin County since 2007, previously residing in Alvarado, Texas. Left to cherish her memory is her children: John M. (Lachele) Wenzel of Huron, South Dakota; Kelly (Don) Sees of Bedford, Texas; Adam (Shelly) Boles of Arlington, Texas; 7 grandchildren;  10 great grandchildren; brother: Richard (Ann) Sweatland of St. Charles; sister: Jackie Stickler of St. Charles. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; her first grandchild: Frances John Sees in 1980; brother: Bob Sweatland. Memorial Services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
