Janet A. Simrau

Janet A. Simrau, 83, of Gladwin, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022. She was born on March 3, 1939, the daughter of John and Cecil (Cook) Bouchey in Clare. On July 30, 1960, she was united in marriage to Howard Simrau in Clare. He preceded her in death in 1994.  Janet was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved gardening, and spreading her love of houseplants. She would gift or bring to life any house plant in need. She loved putting clothes on the outside line and having the smell of fresh clean linen. Janet will always be remembered and missed by her friends and family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mike (Vicky) Simrau, Howard Jr. (Carloyn) Simrau, Pam (John) Smith, and Brian (Kristie) Simrau; grandchildren: Amanda (John), Sarah (Dan), Kayla (Josh), Ginna (Derrick), Shane, Kurtis, Joshua (Miranda), Javin, Kearstin, and Logan; 9 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; siblings: Vergilene Shrader and Willis (Betty) Bouchey; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and several siblings.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 2-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at Butman Township Cemetery, Gladwin.
