Janet Kay Fair

Janet Kay Fair, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 20, 1940 to Lyle and Dorothy (Prebble) Coryell. She is survived by her sons: Rolland (Tanna) Fair and Brian (Brenda) Fair, both of Gladwin. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Brandon (Jaime) Fair, Christopher Fair, Bryana Kanicki, Taunee (Alex) Gatz, Nicholas Fair, Amanda Fair, Madison Fair, Kendall Fair, Jake Sherlock, Joshua Valentine, Tyler Twining, Justin Dallas and 6 great grandchildren: Kamden Bosnak, Aiden Fair, Emmett Gatz, Tyler Fair, Weston Fair, and Lincoln Fair. Preceding her in death are her parents, her one and only true love Rolland Fair, and her best friend & sister, Dixie Melton.

Janet was one in a million. An exceptional human being. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she spent her life sacrificing so that her family could have what they needed. Always there to lend a hand, a shoulder to cry on, and a warm welcoming hug and smile. Janet wanted everybody to know she enjoyed her life. She loved her piece of heaven on earth at her home on Pratt Lake, where she spent her retirement gardening, boating, quilting, and her all-time favorite activity, fishing! She shared her home with many people over the years and her door was always open to everybody. There will be a hole in the lives of those left behind, but her legacy will live on, in her children and grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to Heartland Hospice of West Branch, and specifically her nurse and newest friend, Melissa Vermilye for the amazing care given to Janet in her last days on earth.

Interment will take place at Chippewa Township Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
