Jeanette “Jan” M. McKimmy, 87, of Beaverton, MI, passed away on June 3, 2023. She was born on April 23, 1936, the daughter of Harold and Dessa (Utley) Williams in Pontiac, MI. She was united in marriage to Ralph McKimmy on June 8, 1956. Ralph preceded her in death in 2013. She worked for various employers over the years including: Delana’s Restaurant in Beaverton, Kings Daughters in Midland, and Whiskey Creek in Custer. Jan loved cake decorating, crocheting, quilting, making dream catchers, and teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren how to as well. For several years, Jan helped at Camp Brethren Heights Counseling and Cooking.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Edwin (Susan) McKimmy, Philip (Polly) McKimmy, Kellie Smith, Karl (Kristin) McKimmy, Becky (Rob) Priemer, Jon (Kristina) McKimmy, Lynn (Ray) Skym; 22 Grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; siblings: Larry (Carol) Williams, Durwin (Chris) Williams, and Marlene Williams.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ralph; siblings: Robert Williams, and Sandy Holland; son-in-law: Butch Smith.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, 12 noon at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 4-8:00 P.M. at the Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton and on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made according to the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
