James Wright

James Carl Wright Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, surrounded by family in his home. James, fondly known as 'Jim', was born to Carl  and Ella Grayce, on October 12, 1939, in Gladwin, Michigan. After high school Jim served our country in the United States Air Force. Then off to California looking for work and this is where he became well known as an experienced  heavy equipment driver. He loved his work, and eventually owned his own business. He was united in marriage to his current wife, Marstella on April 23, 1983. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family along with and the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, concerts, traveling to Las Vegas and many trips to and from Michigan, where he settled in 2005.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Marstella, his daughter, Carla, his sons, James Jr., Michael , Timothy, and James. Step children, Tony  and Eileen. Jim had many grandchildren: Anjanette, Ryan, Remington, Raymond, Michael Jr, Robert, Mary, Shane, Ashley, Jacob, Jason, Alina. And many great grandchildren. Also survived by his brothers, Everett, David and Donald, and his sister, Lola.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ella Grayce (Berry) Wright.

Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 15, 2023, 12:00 noon at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin, MI.  Jims' wishes would be for any donations made to the Mercy Ships, to help the children.
