James Sulzmann

James Edward Sulzmann, age 39, of Gladwin, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 4, 2025. He was born on September 22, 1985, the son of James and Cynthia (Marks) Sulzmann, in Flint.

James was a man of many interests and endless curiosity. He had a true passion for working with his hands—whether it was cars, motors, motorcycles, or anything mechanical, he loved figuring out how things worked. He had a soft spot for his animals and found joy in gaming, watching YouTube, and tinkering with RC cars.

James also had a green thumb, fascinated by the process of growing plants and tending to his garden. He loved to cook, always proud when a new recipe turned out just right. Recently, he had taken an interest in 3D printing, always eager to learn something new. James tried a bit of everything, but what stood out most was his heart—he was kind, thoughtful, and always put others before himself. His generosity and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved fiancé: Kristie Wood; step-daughters: Ayla and Sara Wood; father: James Sulzmann; aunt: Deborah Faleski; and cousin: Danielle Marchi.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Cynthia; sister: Tiffany Rock; along with his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
