Ileen Metzger, 76, of Beaverton, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was born on August 30, 1946, the daughter of Leonard and Betty "Lickly" Bartig in Saginaw. She graduated from Hemlock High School and later completed Murphy's Beauty School. She married Tom Metzger in Gladwin. Ileen worked as a beautician for several years and was phenomenal at haircuts and styling. She was dedicated at her craft until she decided to step away and to raise her family. That didn't stop her from working, she helped Tom in any way she could. She was very hard working and always learning, especially in her garden. She enjoyed several years in Master Gardener's and always was finding ways to improve. Ileen was a blessing to be around, she loved and cherished more than anything her family and faith.
She is survived by her husband: Tom Metzger; children: Chris (Marcie) Metzger and Sarah Metzger; grandchildren: Catilin Metzger, Ryan Metzger and Ava Metzger; along with her great grandchild: Alex.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son in-law: Terry Geyer, and 3 siblings.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 4-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton. She will be laid to rest at Beaverton Cemetery. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
