Howard "Shorty" J. Benner Jr.

Howard “Shorty” J. Benner Jr., 67, of Coleman, Michigan passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 29, 2017. He was born in Flint, Michigan on October 17, 1949 the son of Howard J. Benner Sr. & Lucille M. (Robinson) Benner. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam Era. He had lived in Isabella County for the last 6 years, previously residing in Gladwin. His memory will be cherished by his only son: Joseph (Andrea) Benner of East Bethel, Minnesota and 2 beautiful grandchildren: Leah and Amber. He will be dearly missed by his brother: Leslie (Sandy) Benner of Millington; sister: Lucille (Dennis) Jones of Ormond Beach, Florida; brothers: Randy Benner of Mt. Pleasant; Roger Benner of Marian, Indiana as well as several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
