Hilda (Magness) Larson

Hilda Helen (Sioen), (Magness), Larson passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020. She was born July 24 ^th , 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Oscar Sioen and his wife, Celina Vermuelen, both direct immigrants of Belgium.

She was raised in Michigan and met her first husband Harvey Magness while working at the Detroit Arsenal in 1949. They were united in marriage on September 2, 1950. Harvey passed after 28 years of marriage in 1978. Hilda remarried in 1984 to William Larson and shared another 35 years of enjoying life. Hilda was an avid bridge player for over 70 years! She was also a fabulous homemaker, a great mother, a loving wife and wonderful woman of the twentieth century.

Left to cherish her memory are 3 children: Steven Magness, Barbara Cimbalik and Mary Gaworecki and 4 grandchildren: Kenneth Chope, Christine Siefert, Michael Gaworecki and Tyler Gaworecki and 3 great-grandchildren: Conner Chope, Noah Siefert and Sharolette Siefert. She is also survived by her niece: Maureen (Victor) Edson

Hilda is preceded in death by her sister: Margaret (Sioen) Victor; brother: George Sioen.

She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Mount Clemons, on Friday, September 18, 2020, 1:00 P.M. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
