Herman W. White

Herman W. White, 94, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017. He was born on October 23, 1922, the son of William & Mary (Leuenberger) White in Gladwin, Michigan. He was united in marriage to Shirley Smith on September 7, 1946m in Pinconning, Michigan. She preceded him in death in 2002. He was employed by Dow Chemical, Midland, Michigan, as a clerk and forklift driver. He retired in 1979 after 30 years of employment. Herman was also a gunsmith for 70 years in Beaverton and also worked at the Music Box in Houghton Lake, Michigan. He has lived in Gladwin County his entire life. He is survived by his son: David White of Florida; daughters: Barbara White of Rhodes; Becky Ballard of Beaverton; 19 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother: Bill Schultz of Gladwin; sister: Ruth Thomas of East Lansing; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife: Shirley; parents; son: Larry White; daughters: Linda Wright & Carolyn White; sisters: Margaret Kenpel, Maxine Crosby, Dorothy Klutts; brother: Ernie Schultz. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, 10:30 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017, from 5-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
