Helen Lieberman

Helen M. Lieberman, age 94, of Gladwin, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was born on August 18, 1929, to Truman and Edna (Brockway) Peach in Howell. On December 27, 1947, she married Harold Lieberman, who preceded her in death in 2003. Helen worked as a secretary for Howell Public Schools until her retirement in 1973. In 1985, she and Harold moved to Gladwin, where she became a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of MARSP (Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel). She enjoyed lighthouse tours, going to garage sales, and visiting Dow Gardens.

She is survived by her children: Harold Lieberman, Patricia Van Patten, Steven Lieberman, Richard Lieberman, and Mary Jane (Ronald) Olrich; grandchildren: James Van Patten Jr., Darold Lieberman, Douglas Lieberman, Dustin Lieberman, Mandy Chevalier, Christopher Van Patten, Thomas Olrich, and Zachary Olrich; great-grandchildren: Tyler Van Patten, Maleena Van Patten, Anthony Lieberman, Austin Lieberman, Jacob Lieberman, Owen Chevalier, Noah Chevalier, Jolene Chevalier, John Davis, and Kyle Davis; siblings: Robert (Jessie) Peach, Elizabeth Schmidt, and James Peach.Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Truman and Charles.

Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
