Gerald T. Golda, 76, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home on Thursday, October 18, 2018. He was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on June 30, 1942 the son of Stanley Sr. & Ann (Skrzyniarz) Golda. On February 8, 1964 he married his best friend, Jean Sandles in East Detroit, Michigan. He retired from the GM Research Labs at the Tech Center in Warren, Michigan in 2000 with 32 years of service. Gerald moved to Gladwin County in 2000 following his retirement, and he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 54 wonderful years, Jean Golda of Gladwin; 2 sons: Randal (Charette) Golda of Milford; Mark Golda of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter: Cindy Davenport of Macomb. His children blessed him with 7 precious grandchildren: Breanna, Andrew, Brendan, Kirsten, Maxwell, Elena and Gerry. He will be sadly missed by his sister: Judith Glovak of Howell, Michigan; brother: Robert Golda of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sister: Patricia Gasowski of Aurora, Colorado and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Stanley Sr. & Ann Golda; and brother: Stanley Golda Jr. A Memorial Mass will be conducted on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 2-6:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
