I am pain free, for God has come for me. George "Eddie" Edward Wylie II, 48, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home with his loved ones by his side on Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born in Midland, Michigan on October 17, 1969 the son of George & Rosa (Woodbury) Wylie. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Persian Gulf War. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County and he was employed with WDS Enterprises in Shepherd. As a truck driver he made many friends, traveled to many places, and shared wonderful memories. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and sarcasm. He loved the outdoors and very much enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a passion for working on and restoring old cars. His memory will be forever cherished by his special friend: Shelley Galloway of Gladwin and her son: Austin Galloway; parents: George & Rosa Wylie of Gladwin; 2 sisters: Tammi McCreary of Gladwin; Margaret Collins of Beaverton; 1 brother: Berry Wylie of Gladwin; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: George & Grace Wylie and Robert & Dora Woodbury; 2 nephews: Jack McCreary and Joshua Collins. Honoring George’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
