Gene Stanton, 70, of Beaverton, MI passed away on May 9, 2022 at his home. Gene was born January 3, 1952 the son of Kenneth and Marilynn Lowe Stanton in Valparaiso, Indiana. After graduating High School Gene went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Ball State University. He then accepted a position at Bethlehem Steel and was a valued employee until his retirement in 2005. Gene was a member of the Gladwin Eagles. During his free time Gene was an amazing father and avid outdoorsman.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister Mari Hammond and family, his children: Joseph Stanton of Beaverton, MI, Sara Doty of Canal Winchester, Ohio, David Stanton of Westerville, Ohio, and Lisa Olimpio of Columbus, Ohio; along with grandchildren: Alexa Stanton, Alyssa Stanton, Ian Stanton, Sylis Olimpio, Liam Stanton, Ash Doty and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death are his parents: Kenneth and Marilynn Stanton
Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI.
