Frederick Sisco

April 18, 1941 — May 23, 2021

Frederick Donald Sisco born April 18th, 1941, passed away Sunday May 23rd 2021, at home with his family by his side. Husband to Barbara, and father to William, Joseph and Katy, he was a giving family man, and selfless volunteer.

Fred served as a two-time Grand Knight with the Gladwin Knights of Columbus - Council 5280. He was active in many of the Knights activities, as well as his community. He was even chosen to be county Volunteer of the Year.

Fred was a loving provider to his family by means of a 40-year plus career as a Patternmaker, specializing in precision machine tool work. Having been raised on the family farm, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an active hunter and golfer. To his extended family he was "Uncle Fred", and the anchor of family gatherings and activities.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 51 years: Barbara Sisco of Gladwin; children: William (Charity) Sisco of Sterling, Joseph (Sara) Sisco of Gladwin, and Katy (Greg) Becker of Sanford; grandchildren: Cole (Kellie) Simpkins, Keenan Simpkins, Mason (Kati) Sisco, Hanna Sisco, Emily Sisco, Kaylynn Becker (Adam Bierschmidt), and Karsten Becker; great grandchildren: Lillian Bierschmidt, Braylin Bierschmidt, Amelia Simpkins, and one great granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his siblings: Ken (Judy) Sisco, Pat Sisco, Anne (Barry) Neumeyer, Jim Sisco (Jan Vickers), Lem (Denise) Sisco, and Fran (Dennis) Shooltz; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass for Mr. Sisco will be conducted by Fr. J. Marcel Portelli and Monsignor Francis Koper on Thursday, May 27, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 3-8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. He will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Gladwin.
