Frank Matynowski, age 92, of Gladwin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was born on March 29, 1932, the son of Stanley and Clara (Sagert) Matynowski, in Detroit. Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he worked as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Office until his retirement in 1989.
On October 1, 1955, Frank married the love of his life, Loretta Bonikowski, in Detroit. Together, they shared 69 years of love and cherished memories. Frank found joy in sports. He loved football and bocce ball. He also loved bowling, he continued bowling in the 200s, until he was 91. Most of all, Frank loved dancing with his beloved wife, Loretta.
He is survived by his wife: Loretta; children: Linda (Reid) Scipione, Judy (Chris) Morin, David (Karen) Matynowski, and Dianne (Mike) Heath; grandchildren: Kyle, Keri, Danny, Steven, Bryan, David, Adam, Eric, Jeffrey, and Melanie; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Stanley and Clara; siblings: Eddie, Raymond, Evelyn, and Audrey; and grandson: Kurt.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 1:00-6:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin.
