Floyd Thomas Morris Jr.

Floyd Thomas Morris Jr. passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, in Petoskey. He was born on December 11, 1953, the son of Floyd T. Morris Sr. and Helen (Searfoss) Morris in Pontiac. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Echelbarger on June 28, 1986, in Gladwin. They were married 35 years together. Floyd retired in 2009 from General Motors Lake Orion Plant. He was an outdoor activist who deeply cared about taking care of our environment.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Cheryl Ann Morris (Echelbarger); daughter: Annmarie Faith Morris; son: Kurtis Floyd Morris (fiance Jami Gayheart); grandchildren: Peyton, Halie, and Madalyn; Floyd’s son: Thomas (Dawn) Morris; grandson: James; sisters: Laura (Jim) Sjstrom and Vicky Turek; uncle: Glen Searfoss; cousins: Linda Krueger and Jan Opperman; and honorary papa to Scott Moore, Emma Hiatt, Lucy and William Pischel; along with 7 nieces and 6 nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Floyd Thomas Morris Sr. and Helen Ruth Morris (Searfoss) and his brother: Donald Lee Yager.

Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 5, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Vistation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
