Elsie Ann Mary Gorman, 55, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away at her home from a lengthy illness surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, October 27, 2018. She was born in Oakwood Hospital in Detroit, Michigan on August 31, 1963, to the phenomenally, wonderful parents of Donald & Margaret (Aubin, Sharkschmidt) Gorman.

Elsie enjoyed her roles as a quiet and effective grass root activist of sorts. Elsie served her Gladwin Community for 40 plus years via volunteering and working to assist others in advancing themselves and their families. Through education and/or simply lending an ear. Elsie was a friend of Bill W. for over 35 years & 9 months. Elsie’s most cherished life experiences were having & raising her miracle son, Jacinto Vicente Doneli Ovalle, as a single parent. Also, while caretaking for her mother for 25 plus years. She attended Kirkland Community College full-time graduating cum laude with an Associate’s Degree while maintaining a job and raising her son. She retired to her home, property & gardens which brought her great joy.

She is survived by her son: Jacinto Vicente Doneli & wife Jennifer Ovalle; 1 granddaughter: Elizabeth; 7 siblings: Edwin Charles & Tina Marie (Poccia) Gorman; Eric Joseph & Claudia (Dembrowski) Gorman; John & Lynne (Corlew) Gorman; Ronald Donald Eugene & Gail Lynne (Glass) Gorman; Florence Shelly Marie (Gorman Leiterman) Wendt; Michael & Donna Eugenia (Gorman) Toppen; Margaret (Gorman, Berry) Gorsline. As well as several cousins, nieces & nephews.

Elsie is preceded in death by her parents: Donald & Margaret; grandparents: John & Florence (Renaud) Aubin; Ted & Elsie (Oswald, Gorman) Sova; one nephew: Baby Jay Jay Gorsline son of Jacob Gorsline & Amanda Foster.

Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Tony Reynolds on Friday, November 2, 2018, 12:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Following services a luncheon will be held at the Gladwin Church of Christ, Gladwin, Michigan.
