Elmer Doan

Elmer L. Doan, age 68, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. He was born on February 14, 1956, the son of LaVere and Virgiline (Greaves) Doan, in Bay City. Elmer was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he was employed throughout the years as a Truck Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator. 

On September 28, 1996, Elmer married the love of his life, Lucy, and together they shared many years of love and memories. Elmer was a true outdoorsman, he loved spending his time hunting and fishing. He was a jack-of-all-trades, always starting and working on various projects. 

He is survived by his wife: Lucy; children: Sarah Wilkerson, Wesley (Jessica) Hude, Travis Hude (Jeralyn Sabatin), Erin (Benjamin) Redman, Marlo (Jeffrey) Simon, Brianna Doan (Brandon Shirey), and Nathan Doan (Summer Newman); grandchildren: Wesley Jr., Wayland, Carter, Leah, Jaxon, Bryson and Genevieve; siblings: Lori (Billy) Kennedy, Gregory Doan, Fonda (Lon) Ricky, Dianna Rickord (Joe Van Horn), and Melody (Gary) Oard. 

He was preceded in death by his parents: LaVere and Virgiline; brother: Dale; step-mother: Diane and in-laws: Lawrence and Emma Jean Willford. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
