Edwin L. Gatz, 93, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at the Horizon Senior Living VI of Gladwin. He was born on April 21, 1926, the son of Fred & Anna (Kutzke) Gatz in Gladwin. On June 4, 1949, he was united in marriage to Elfrieda Endert in Oberlin. Edwin was a veteran of the United States Military Police, proudly serving his country during World War II. He was a self-employed farmer owning & operating Gatz Farms until his retirement. Edwin was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, VFW Post 7303 & Farm Bureau. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 70 years: Elfrieda Gatz of Gladwin; daughters: Judy (Thomas) Spence of Roscommon & Diane Ouellette of Pinconning; grandchildren: Stacy (Toby) Carter, Jeffrey (Melissa) Spence & Michelle Ouellette; great grandchildren: Alexandria (John) Bergtold, Danielle (Brett) Buehler, Donavin Spence, Cameron Ouellette & Collyn Ouellette; great great grandchildren: Arianna, Emily & Lucas Bergtold; Along with nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Rudy, Arthur & Albert; sister: Eleanor Korkoske. Funeral Services honoring Mr. Gatz will be conducted on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 3-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
