Louise Bloetscher, 98 of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. She was born in Melvindale, Michigan, on May 27, 1926, the daughter of George and Edith (Berg) Foster. 79 years ago, she married the love of her life, Carl O. Bloetscher on June 21, 1946 in Dearborn, Michigan. They were married for 67 years before his passing in 2013. Louise was a very happy homemaker and found joy in raising her daughters and the home she cared for. Louise and Carl moved from Inkster to Beaverton, Michigan in 1981 and worked as a team to beautify their home and property and where she tended her flowers, enjoyed the wildlife and where hummingbirds pecked at her window to let her know they had arrived home. Louise was of English and Finnish heritage and traveled to both countries and met many family members and she enjoyed spending many summers in the Upper Peninsula with her extended family there.
Louise is survived by her daughters Janet (William) Rievert of Beaverton, Sherrill (Jerry Collins) Tedford of Dearborn; 3 grandchildren: Kenneth Tedford (Audrey), Kristen (Rievert) Lucke (Kevin) and Kurtis Rievert (Mandy); 5 great-grandchilren: Gabrielle Tedford, Zachary and Jackson Keinath. and Kody and Keagan Lucke; one great-great-grandchild, Mateo Tedford.
Lousie is preceded in death by her parents, one brother James, and 3 sisters Muriel Rice, Glada Russell, and Evelyn Peters.
To honor her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. noon at Riverwalk in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Following the service, lunch will be served at 1:00 P.M.
