Douglas M. Brubaker, 66, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away suddenly at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petosky, Michigan on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 19, 1951 the son of Lloyd & Deloris (Fisher) Brubaker. On May 10, 1989 he was united in marriage to Carol Vella in Westland, Michigan. Doug was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and he was employed with Ford Motor Company at the Wayne Assembly Plant Local 900. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1999 and he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and he was secretary/treasurer of the Gladwin/Beaverton Bowling Association. He loved bowling, golf, and he enjoyed all sports. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 28 years, Carol Brubaker of Gladwin; 3 sons: Phillip (Anne) Gibson of Livonia; Eric Brubaker and Mandy Sebring of Dassel, Minnesota; James Brubaker and daughter in-law: Sara of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He was blessed with 13 beautiful grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his sister: Marcy (Mike) Bordeau of Canton, Michigan; brother: Jeff (Beverly) Brubaker of Aurora, Colorado; sister: Chris Avery of Westland, Michigan; brother: Karl Brubaker of Canton, Michigan; sister: Marlene (Terry) Kengerski of Clarkston, Michigan; step-mother: Mary Brubaker of Gladwin. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Mass will be conducted by Fr. Marcel Portelli on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 10:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin, Michigan.
