Donald L. Bilbey

Donald L. Bilbey, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle, 82 years old, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 28, 1936 the son of Stephen & Mary (Hudson) Bilbey. On July 26, 1958 he was united in marriage to Caroline LeeMae Rodgers in Pontiac. They celebrated 51 wonderful years together before she predeceased him in 2009. He had lived in Gladwin County since 2001, previously residing in Pontiac. Don was employed with General Motors in Lake Orion and retired with more than 30 years of service. He was a loyal member and Past President of F.O.E. Clarkston Aerie 3373 in Clarkston, and a dual member of F.O.E. Albright Shores Aerie 3655 in Beaverton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards and a good round of golf. His memory will be cherished by his daughter: Carrie L. (Odis) Massey of Ypsilanti; son: Brian K. Bilbey; daughter: Stacey A. (Robert) Lauer of Hartland; daughter: in-law: Marti Bilbey of Ypsilanti; grandchildren: Angie (Brian) Brown of Belleville; Odis Massey Jr. of Chicago; Brian Lauer of Weberville; Joseph Lauer of Gregory; 2 precious great grandchildren: Christina and Matthew. He will also be missed by his brother: Stephen Bilbey of Florida and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife: Caroline Bilbey; son: Donald Bilbey; granddaughter: Gloria Keene; parents: Stephen & Mary Bilbey; 2 brothers: Charles Bilbey and John Bilbey. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Friday, December 7, 2018, 1:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
