D.J. Yost, 90, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away at his home on July 21, 2018. He was born the son of Clyde & Leone (Preston) Yost on February 14, 1928, in Beaverton. On November 19, 1949, he married Carol Wager in Beaverton. She preceded him in death in 1982. He was a fireman/engineer, employed by Dow Chemical for 38 years until his retirement. In 1986, he married Peggy Crowl in Beaverton. He loved hunting, fishing & being outdoors. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 32 years: Peggy Yost of Beaverton; 5 children: Debi (Larry) Scarborough of Sunfield, Michigan; Daniel James (Edda) Yost of Beaverton; Kay Ann (Larry) Cramer of Arizona; Richard (fiancé: Lavonn Miller) Yost of Beaverton; Davis (Penny) Yost of Midland; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; sister: Faye Ann Buckrow of Wisconsin; half-brother: Clyde (Mariom) Grant of Rosebush. He is preceded in death by his first wife: Carol; parents; half-brother: Claude Grant; daughter in-law: Karen Yost. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Chris Slosser on Monday, July 23, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest in Dale (Tobacco Twp.) Cemetery, Beaverton, Michigan.
