Dennis Wirt Sr. of Gladwin, passed away quietly in his sleep on Friday, December 18, 2020. He was born on May 11, 1953, the son of Henry and Florence "Byrdina" (Hodges) Wirt in Reed City. Dennis was united in marriage to Polly Cross on November 20, 1976 in Evart. Dennis has been a resident of Gladwin County his whole life and was employed at Lethere Truss in Clare. His hobbies were hunting, fishing & playfully terrorizing his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Polly Wirt, and 2 sons: Joe Wirt (Diana) of Honor and Dennis & Sarah Wirt Jr. of Beaverton. He was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Josh (fiance Devin) Spaulding , Steve & Jessica Parrish, Jasmine Bland, Isabelle, Becca, Amy and Jasmine. He also had 7 great grandchildren: Isaiah, Zoe, Luke, Remona, Jaylynn, Abel and Maddy. He is also survived by his 2 brothers: Greg and Tom Wirt. He is preceded in death by his mother. He will be gratefully missed by his family & many friends.
