Denice Patricia Ellis, 52, of Sanford, Michigan passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born in Midland, Michigan on June 29, 1965 the daughter of Dennis & Suzanne (Brethauer) Schur. She was employed at Robinson Industries in Beaverton. She was a fun, energetic, and carefree spirit. Denice had an infectious laugh and a contagious smile. She loved being outdoors, waterskiing, camping, gardening, and cooking for her children. She was enrolled at Ross Medical in Midland, where she completed all of her classroom credits and was beginning her externship as a Medical Assistant. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Jessica (Michael) Brubaker of Gladwin; Josie Ellis of Beaverton; Shelby Ellis of Gladwin; father: Dennis Schur of Grand Marais; mother: Suzanne Brethauer of Saginaw; sisters: Cris (Joe) Balderrama of Gladwin; Tracy Corner of Midland; brother: Dennis (Rebekah) Schur of Midland; fiancé; John Ludwig of Sanford and several nieces and nephews. Waiting to receive her in her Heavenly home is her grandmother: Mabel Silkstone. Honoring the wishes of the family, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Thursday, December 14, 2017, 6:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
