Deborah Kay Harris, 75, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, October 16, 2017. She was born in Elyria, Ohio on August 12, 1942 the daughter of Paul C. & Dorothy (Forney) Bruner. On July 16, 1983, she was united in marriage to her true love William “Tom” Harris in Ogemaw County, Michigan. He predeceased her in 2010. She had lived in Gladwin County since 2001, previously residing in Flint. She was employed as a teacher, working for the Flushing School District and also worked in the pharmacy at Rite Aid in Flushing. She was a very active member of F.O.E. Secord Lake Eagles 4121 Auxiliary, previously holding the office of Madam Vice President for many years and she was always there to volunteer her time for nearly every function. Deb easily made many friendships there and she truly enjoyed playing pool on the Ladies Pool League, Bunco and Darts. She loved animals and had a great love for her cats. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her daughter: Suzanne Y. Gregory of Swartz Creek; son: Robert Pettet also of Swartz Creek; daughter: Sandra (Keith) Crampton of Attica; step-daughter: Tina (Eric) Tosto of Clio; step-son: Shawn (Tracy) Harris of Flushing; step-daughter: Stacie (Travis) Belill. She was blessed with 14 wonderful grandchildren and 12 precious great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her brother: David (Barb) Bruner of Vermilion, Ohio; sister: Dee (Lester) Morris of Oberlin, Ohio; sister in-laws: Diane (Maxwell) Lemcool; Leana Doyle; JoAnna (Rick) Young; and brother in-law: Steven Harris. She is preceded in death by her husband: Tom Harris; grandson: Frederick Thomas III; parents; and brother in-law: Alan Doyle. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be conducted at Secord Lake Eagles on Saturday, November 11, 2017, 1:30 P.M.
