David Eric Woodby, age 80, of Beaverton, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born on August 3, 1944, the son of Wayne and Marian (Bocks) Woodby, in Grayling. David was a dedicated employee, working as a Technical Writer in the Automotive Industry for many years until his retirement. In 1968, he married the love of his life, Nona Wade and together they shared 56 years of love and cherished memories.
David loved spending time outdoors, whether he was hunting, mowing his lawn, or working on tractors. He also had a passion for football and was an avid Detroit Lions fan throughout the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Nona; sons: Jason (Laura) Woodby, Preston (Teresa) Woodby, and Tyson (Laura) Woodby; grandchildren: Chelsea, Katelynn, Eric, Brianna, Alexandra, Alia, and Alden; siblings: Jane (Al) Osman, Tim (Rosemary) Woodby, and Abigail (James) Searls; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Marian.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Beaverton. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
