David P. Edwards, age 81, of Gladwin, formerly of Reese, MI, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was born on March 2, 1943, the son of Guy and Ivadel (Guilfoil) Edwards in Saginaw, MI. On November 25, 1965, David married the love of his life, Rosalie, and they shared many cherished years together until her passing in 2022.
David was a dedicated employee at General Motors, where he worked for 39 years until retirement. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping, and was passionate about caring for his lawn.
He is survived by his sons: Richard Baird and Robert (Toni) Baird; son-in-law: Terry Patsey; grandchildren: Terry (Anne) Patsey Jr., Michele Patsey, Rick (Nikki) Baird, Shannon Baird, Jasen (Kristan) Baird, and David Baird; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Rosalie; his parents: Guy and Ivadel; daughters: Penny Patsy and Davalyn Edwards; and daughter-in-law: Wanda Baird.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M.
