David Charles Gorzenski (64) of Gladwin, passed away on August 5 th , while surrounded by his loving family.  David was the youngest child of Harold and Marie (Pellum).  David attended Flushing schools before enlisting with the US Marine Corps.  Following his service to our country, David served the State of Michigan working as a correctional officer.  After retiring, David lived for spending time up north on the water with his babe, family, and friends.  David was a loving husband, son, brother, father, papa, and friend to all who knew him.  David also liked to spend his time volunteering with the Big Boys Club and hanging out at happy hour with the Wednesday Guys’ Night Crew and Kim.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harold and his sister, Joanie (Lawson).  David is survived by his beautiful, sweet mama, Marie; his loving babe Nancy (Woodring), his children Don (Raymond), Sonya (Coletta) and Justin (York), Joey and Brooke (Hagstrom), Laura and Ben Reichert, & Jason Coletta (SIL); his sister Lynn (Hougen); his best-friend (and BIL) Randy Hougen; his brother-in-law Bob Lawson; his grandchildren Austin, Zane, Tyler, Olympia, Brynn, Lilia, Luciana, Brenna, and Sylvie; his numerous nieces and nephews; the coolest mother-in-law Barbara-Jean and the entire Woodring family; and his brother and sister by heart Glen Thompson and Kathy Hart.  A special thanks goes out to his close friends and brothers in the Department of Corrections who made his days fun and sent him home safely to his family.  In true David fashion, he passed away with a full case of beer in the fridge for his numerous friends and family, and a full jar of candy on the table for his loving grandbabies.  Thank you for the BEST hugs, love, and more hugs.  The family has asked that you have a beer in memory of David, as a memorial will not be held.
