David Bernard "Bernie" Rice, 71, of Gladwin, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 27, 2020, at his home. He was born on April 11, 1949, the son Culen Van Rice & Margaret Hoover in Waverly, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam Era. He was an operator and draftsmen for several companies until his retirement. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and loving the outdoors.
David is survived by 2 children: Joseph David Rice (Heidi) and Angie Lynn Rice (Justin); ex wife: Mary Rice; mother: Margaret Woody; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Van Bobby Rice and Richard Wayne Woody; sister: Sharon Rose DeBruyne; along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son: Michael; father: Culen Van Rice; step father: Ralph Woody.
Funeral Services honoring Mr. Rice will be conducted with military honors on Friday, July 31, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin.
