Daisybelle Weldon

Daisybelle Weldon, 94, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at the Gladwin Pines on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. She was born in Munising, Michigan on November 18, 1923 the daughter of Walter & Martha (Birch Hayes) Koons. On January 24, 1943, she was united in marriage to her true love, Delmer Weldon and they just recently celebrated 75 wonderful years together. Daisybelle resided most of her adult life in Gladwin County where she and Delmer owned and operated an award winning dairy farm for many years. Daisybelle was not only a homemaker but was actively involved in the farm’s operations, including much of the accounting. She was a member of the Gladwin First United Methodist Church. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband: Delmer Weldon of Gladwin; daughter: Darlene (Victor) Leatherman of Mayer, Arizona; sons: Duane (Marjory) Weldon of Lansing, Michigan; Timothy (Jane) Weldon of Frostproof, Florida; daughter: Terry (Peter) Koch of Waco, Texas. Her children blessed her with 10 wonderful grandchildren; 10 beautiful great grandchildren and 7 precious great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Sherry Weldon; granddaughter: Cheryl Leatherman. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor David Amstutz on Monday, February 19, 2018, 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 3-6:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Gladwin First United Methodist Church.
