Craig S. Sutton, 57, of Beaverton passed away at his home on November 17, 2021. Craig was born on March 16, 1965 in Port Huron, the son of Gerald and Gladys Sutton.
Craig lived in Gladwin County for most of his life, graduating from Beaverton High School. He was a proud member of the N.R.A., an avid hunter, he liked to take to the woods with his dogs raccoon hunting and rabbit hunting. He also enjoyed competing in motocross racing, snowmobiling and tinkering on his Jeep and taking it to Silver Lake Sand Dunes four-wheeling with friends. He was an extruder operator for Huhtamaki in Coleman for 13 years. Craig loved his family and spent many days with his nieces and nephews as a second “dad”, all of them simply calling him “Uncle”. He will be greatly missed by his remaining family members. Craig had a large heart for donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and his family would appreciate memorial donations to St. Jude’s in Craig’s name in lieu of flowers.
He is survived by his sisters: Geraldine “Fern” (Phil) Neal and Linda Balon; brothers: Rick (Deborah) Sutton, Terry (Suzanne) Sutton, Morley (Sue) Nolan; along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene. The family will receive guests from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
