Charles William Wilson Sr., 85, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 22, 1932 the son of Glenn E. & Mary E. (Peck) Wilson. On January 13, 1975 he was united in marriage to Wanda (Hall) Harper in Kingsland, Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the Oakland County Sheriff Department as a Police Officer. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1980, previously residing in Oakland County, and he was a member of the Rochester Elks and F.O.E. Rochester Aerie 2225. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of nearly 43 years, Wanda Wilson of Gladwin; 3 step children: Terry (Diana) Harper of Troy, Michigan; Dean Harper of Huntsville, Alabama; Beverly Klein of Sarasota, Florida; 2 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son: Charles W. Wilson Jr.; infant son; infant daughter; parents; brother: Tom Wilson. He will be laid to rest on Friday, December 8, 2017, 12:00 P.M. at Chapel Hill Mausoleum in Freeland, Michigan.
