Charles “Chuckie” John William Henning II, 51 of Pullman, Michigan, passed away Thursday May 11, 2017 after fighting cancer for less than four months. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served during the Gulf War. He was born on April 12, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan to Charles John William Henning and Jayne Caster, both of which have preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is wife, Lisa Robin-Henning whom he married on April 12, 2006, brother Roddy Henning (son Dustin Hagenbaugh), sisters Trishanne Winchel (husband Thomas, daughter Jocelyn) and Diana Williams (sons Logan and Hunter) and many other extended family members. He attended Houghton Lake High school and Kirtland community college where he learned that life was the better teacher. The life he choose included outdoor living to include hunting, fishing and growing his own food. He was a care-giver to all including animals such as his beloved horse Sora that he barrel raced as a young man. He was a master craftsman working with wood and worked as a builder by trade. His creativity knew no boundaries and he would assist anyone in need on any project no matter how small or strange. Chuckie will be cremated and interned at his mothers side at the Maple Valley Cemetery in St. Helen, Michigan on Saturday, June 3, 2017, 11:30 A.M. No services scheduled at this time. There will be a celebration of life, information will be posted. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Memorial donations can be made to funeral home. The world has suffered a great loss with his passing. We are all better people for having had Chuckie in our lives regardless of how brief it was.
