Carol A. White

Carol White of Gladwin, Michigan, passed on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.  She was born on August 7, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan.  On February 6, 1960, she was united in marriage to her husband Pat White and they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage.  In 1991, they built their dream lake home in Sugar Springs and moved up full-time from the Detroit area in 1998.  Carol took joy in having her children (3), grandchildren (8), and great grandchildren (4) gather at the lake for summer fun.  She named their pontoon boat “Crazy 8 + 4.”

Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Pat White, daughter Karen (Jeff) Krausmann, sons: Jim (Lynn) White, and John (Dana) White, grandchildren Renee (Rob) Oliver, Lindsey (Kyle) Ketchum, Leanne Krausmann, Mark (Carrie) White, Keith (Emily) White, Amy Krausmann, Jenna White, great grandchildren: Aubrey, Able, Paisley, and Sawyer Oliver.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Louise Hinsberger, older sister, Donna Mazzola, and grandson Evan White.

Growing up in Detroit, Carol attended Dominican High School.  She was blessed to have a core group of “club girls” that remained friends over the many years.

Carol met Pat in 1958 and married shortly after in 1960.  They moved to Warren in 1962 where they raised their three children.  She worked for 15 years as a purchasing agent at Holloway Equipment Company in Fraser, Michigan.

Through her life she was a member of the following Catholic churches:  Guardian Angel - Detroit, St. Dorothy – Warren, St. Paul of Tarsus – Clinton Township, and Sacred Heart – Gladwin.

Funeral Mass will be conducted on Saturday, November 20, 2021, 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in the metro Detroit area for friends and family. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin.
