April 27, 1947 — April 29, 2022

Carlos Perdue Jr. of Beaverton, age 75, passed away from Parkinson's disease on April 29, 2022. Cremation has taken place. Carlos will be buried at Great Lakes National Cemetery at 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442 on June 17 @ 1:30. A Dinner will immediately follow 7 minutes away at Villagers family restaurant 1121 N. Saginaw St. Holly Michigan. Carlos was born in Madison, West Virginia on April 27, 1947, son of the late Carlos and Jessie Perdue. He married Karen Navarre on February 25, 1989 in Pontiac, Michigan. They were together for 52 years. Together they had their daughter Melanie. Carlos previously had a daughter Tina and a son Carlos III. He was a devoted husband and father. He served three tours in the Vietnam War. He worked at GM Fisher Body in Pontiac, Michigan and later at GM Orion Assembly in Lake Orion, Michigan, totalling 32 years. He enjoyed attending car shows and drove his pro street custom Camara, "Bad Rat," everywhere. It was never trailered, always driven. He loved doing burnouts and leaving rubber. He was a highly skilled at building Big Block Chevy engines and creating some awesom custom Street Machine Hot Rods. Some people may say he was a hot rod legend in Pontiac, Michigan. He always had many loyal dogs, including Doberman Pinschers, German Shephards and Rottweilers. His favorite song was "Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison.

Carlos is survived by wife, Karen; children Tina (Thy) Nguyen, Melanie Bowen; grandchildren, Jimmy and David Nguyen; Ciara Bowen; Dalton Bridson; great grandsons Ever Jack- Austin; Rook Perdue; siblings Dorothy Perdue Hurley, Linda Ballard, Averill Perdue, Larry (Benny) Perdue and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Carlos Perdue III, sister Madonna Ball, father Carlos Perdue Sr., and mother Jessie (Covey) Perdue.
