Betty Wendling

Betty Jane Wendling, 82, of Beaverton, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023. She was born on March 9, 1941, the daughter of Mathew and Jane (Orlowski) Nicol in Saginaw, MI. On September 14, 1962, she was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Wendling, together they shared 61 years of marriage. She graduated from Owendale High School in 1959, and continued her education at Delta College. She also worked for Consumer’s Power and St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. Betty had a love for the outdoors and frequently went camping, hunting, and fishing. She also enjoyed volleyball, softball, and trips to the casino. For the past 20 years, Betty and Jerry spent winters in Florida, where they made many new friends and memories. She loved to attend family reunions and spend time with her family. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and a good friend to many.

She is survived by her husband: Gerald; son; Brian (Beth) Wendling of Hemlock; daughter: Linda (Rob) Cameron of Manistee; 3 grandchildren: Jacob Wendling, Adam Wendling, and Jamie Lareau; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert Nicol.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, September 7, 2023, 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial Contributions may be made according to My Michigan Hospice. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
