Betty "Bee Frog" L. Smith

Betty "Bee Frog" L. Smith, 79, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. She was born on February 24, 1938, the daughter of Lester Carl & Bessie Marie (Blake) Schuler in Gladwin, Michigan. On December 20, 1959, she was united in marriage to Jerry Smith in Gladwin, Michigan. She was a homemaker and has lived in Gladwin County her entire life. She was a member of the Gladwin County Genealogical Society. Her hobbies included Circle Word and playing Bunco, and she was a regular blood donor, donating over 30 units of blood. She enjoyed music very much and especially loved listening to Country and Gospel. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 57 years: Jerry Smith of Gladwin; daughter: Candy (Tom) Johnson of Gladwin; son: Scott (Sharon) Smith of South Carolina; grandchildren: Danielle (Nathan) Johnson of Wyoming, Michigan; Dustin (Jessica) Johnson of Gladwin; Kazandra Smith of Gladwin; Tristen (Nicole) Duford of Gladwin; Kasey Smith of South Carolina; 9 great grandchildren: Tori, Bryce, Ryder, Chloe, Drew, Alexander, Owen, Samantha & Greg; brother: Lester Leroy Schuler of Gladwin; sister: Patresia (Charles) Pollington of McBain, Michigan; sister: Sherley McCummings of Gladwin; brother: Terry Schuler of Flint, Michigan; sister: Carol June Cavender of Madison Heights, Michigan; several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Penny Smith; grandson: Danl Johnson; brother & sister in-law: Chester & Helen Schuler; brother in-laws: Russell McCummings & Bobby Cavender; sister in-law: Judith Schuler. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Saturday, October 7, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, from 5-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. She will be laid to rest at Butman Township Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan.
