Betty Oard

Betty Oard, 90, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Medilodge of Clare. She was born on August 4, 1928, in Keen, New Hampshire. Betty was adopted by her Aunt Hazel & Uncle Stanley Rivers. On August 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Max Oard in Gladwin, Michigan. They were married 58 wonderful years until he preceded her in death in 2004. She was a homemaker, living in Gladwin County her entire adult life. She was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church and the VFW 7303 Auxiliary. Left to cherish her memory is her children: Robert Dennis (Connie) Oard of Gladwin; Linda (William) Russell of Gladwin; Sally Whitman of Clare. Her children blessed her with 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren & 12 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 6 sisters; 1 brother; several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; 1 sister & 6 brothers. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 15, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Arbutus Cemetery.
