Belva Govitz

April 14, 1929 — December 1, 2022

Belva Bergman Govitz passed away on December 2 nd , 2022 in Saginaw, Michigan. Her parents were Dennis and Violet Murphy of Edenville, MI where she was born April 14, 1929.

Belva graduated from Beaverton High School in 1947. In July of 1947, Belva married David Bergman in Edenville. Her two sons, James and Peter were born into the family. Belva graduated from MT Pleasant Beauty College. She went on to own her business Beaverton Beauty Shop + Barber Shop for over 20 years. Belva retired from her business and later went into the medical field. She attended many classes to work at colleges. Belva worked for Compassionate Heath Care for 10 years, returning at age 81. Belva was a lifelong member of VFW post 7303 of Beaverton, also she had a life membership with Dale United Methodist Church. Belva enjoyed her life long association with the National Home for Children in Grand Rapids.

Belva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sons James and Peter. She is survived by grandsons: Dave (Ashley) Bergman and Jaymery (Mandy) Bergman. Also 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Many numerous nieces and nephews, plus many, many, lifelong friends.

Memorial Services will be held at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, MI on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 starting at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
