Barbara Nagel

May 15, 1940 — August 19, 2021

Barbara Jane Nagel, 81, of Beaverton, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, August 19, 2021.  She was born May 15, 1940 in Auburn, Michigan, the oldest daughter of Fern and Betty (Anderson) Myers.  At age 16 she met the love of her life, Leroy William Nagel. They were blessed with 64 years of marriage.  They were avid hunters and loved fishing and enjoyed the outdoors together.   Left to cherish her memory is her husband: Leroy Nagel of Beaverton; children: Debbie (Scott) Hidden of Alger; Cindy (David) Engwis of Beaverton, Danny (Kristi) Nagel of Midland; David (Kelly) Nagel of Midland; Greg (Ronda) Nagel of Kalamazoo; Andrea (Brent) McCleland of Moscow PA; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.   She is also survived by her brother: Mike (Sheri) Myers of Pinconning; sisters, Jeannie (Jim)Morse of Standish; and Brenda (Hugh) Walworth of Standish.

She is preceded in death by her parents;  Fern and Betty Myers; brother Dale Myers and sister Janet Fryzel and son Dennis Nagel.

Barb will be remembered for her strong faith and her love for family especially her children.  Those who knew her will also remember her strong desire to learn about god by studying the bible, her zest for life,  and ability to make people feel special and loved.  She enjoyed writing, scrapbooking and creating flower arrangements.  She also loved shopping, with her sisters and daughters, for her entire family.  Her generosity was limitless.   It made her very happy to give to others.

She will be laid to rest at Floral Gardens Cemetery, Bay City. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
