Barbara G. Mccray

Barbara G. McCray, 80, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. She was born in Watford, Canada on December 1, 1936 the daughter of Albert & Leona (Harper) Nelson. She had lived in Michigan for most of her life, living in Gladwin for 5 years, previously residing in Arizona, Oklahoma and Florida. She was employed with Meijer’s Thrifty Acres in Battle Creek, Michigan until her retirement. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Joyce Pierce of Beaverton; Brenda (Joe) Burgess of Florida; sons: Malcolm Brueggeman of Arizona; Milford Brueggeman of Georgia; daughter: Jauneta Gungle of California; step-son: Jamie McCray. Her children blessed her with 10 beautiful grandchildren; 27 wonderful great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren; 3 step great-great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her brother: Gary Nelson of Brown City. She is preceded in death by her son: Rodney Brueggeman; parents; sister: Joyce Nelson; brother: William Nelson. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Donald Sparks on Sunday, August 13, 2017, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Gladwin, Michigan.
