Barbara Church, 77, of Gladwin, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was born on September 23, 1943, the daughter of LeRoy and Ellen (Pike) Goodwin in Alpena. On April 25, 1964, she was united in marriage to her true love William Church. They were blessed with 56 wonderful years of marriage.
Barbara enjoyed helping friends and family in planning gatherings including preparing delicious meals where all were welcome and no one left hungry. She enjoyed helping others anywhere she was needed which included actively coordinating and participating in Relay For Life Cancer events. Barbara enjoyed spending her time with family; and she was known for how much she loved her pets, regularly rescuing less fortunate pets throughout her life giving them a loving home. Her presence and helping nature will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband: William Church; son: William Jr. (Charlotte) Church; daughter: Kimberly Hines; grandsons: Jean-Sebastian Church, Evan Hines, and Landon Hines. She is also survived by her siblings: George (Donna) Goodwin, Ruth (Ralph) Brubaker, and Arthur (Rhonda) Goodwin; nieces and nephews: Laura, Susan, Tim, Dan, Valerie, Marty, Marsha, Jenny, Lisa, LouAnn, Matt, Amanda, Jeff, Jason, Tom, George, Glen Jr.; best friend: Sue Fitch; and her wonderful pets: Betsy and Rusty.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Leroy and Ellen (Pike) Goodwin; father in-law: George Church; mother in-law: Pearl Foster; granddaughter: Baylee Hines; sister and brother in-law: Clara and Frank Hammond; sister in-law: Janet Church; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Nancy And Glen Hammond; and nephews: Gary and Randy Haring.

Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the Spring when family and friends are able to gather to celebrate her life. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home : Gladwin, Michigan (MI)
