Arthur "Art" Morin, 72, of Beaverton, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2021. He was born on March 17, 1949, the son of Euclid and Marie Morin. Art was untied in marriage to his true love, Joan, on May 1, 1987. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country during the Vietnam Era. Art was employed for Chrysler as an engineer until his retirement. After his retirement, he moved to Beaverton, previously residing in Dryden. He had a passion for racing, especially off road rally racing. Art will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, also known as "Pop Pop."
Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Joan Morin; children: Rhonda Morin, Lisa Magnus, and Todd Magnus; grandchildren: Autumn Magnus, Hunter Magnus, and Natasha King; great grandchildren: Oceanna Magnus and Anthony Astarita V.
He is preceded in death by his son: Jeff Magnus.
Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Church Services with Military Honors will be conducted on April 17, 2021 at 11:30 am at St. Ireneaus Catholic Church 771 Old Perch Rd. Rochester Hills, Michigan. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Homes.
