Anna M. Spencer, 81, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 16, 2018. She was born on February 19, 1937, the daughter of George & Edith (Critchfield) McBurney in Normal, Illinois. On February 3, 1962, she was united in marriage to David Spencer in Sandusky, Michigan. She was employed by Gladwin Community Schools as a 5
th
grade teacher until her retirement in 1998 after 29 years of teaching. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years: Dave Spencer of Gladwin; son: Steve (Alexandra) Spencer of Toronto, ON; grandchildren: Jon, Emily & Alasdair; siblings: Harley McBurney of Florida; Jackie McBurney of Normal; Harry McBurney of Normal & Tim McBurney of Normal; and several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son: Mark; sisters: Patty & Mary. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Joe Dorais on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at Sherman Twp. (Skeels) Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
