Anita "Joy" Nash

Anita "Joy" Nash, 87, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. She was born on January 4, 1937, the daughter of Henry and Lillie (Wagner) Purtee in Detroit. She was married to Edwin Nash, who preceded her in death. After raising her children, Joy worked in various capacities, including at the Silverleaf Laundromat, Dial-a-Ride, and Village Flowers. She also served as a trustee for Grout Township and was always active in politics. Joy was a devoted Christian and lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, and traveling. She always kept up on her flowers and loved finding deals thrift shopping.

She is survived by her children: Scott (Candy) Wykoff, Jean Denver, Tim Mikiels, and Amy (Chuck) Adams; grandchildren: Scottie, Philip, Patrick, Neil, Mickey (Briegh), Colton, Katie, Walker Lillie, and Skylar; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jean Becker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Mike Denver.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 2-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
