Victor Fern Cripps, 91, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 25, 2017. He was born in Flint, Michigan on February 12, 1026 the son of Fern & Adelia (Soldan) Cripps. He was a veteran of the United States Army proudly serving his country during World War II. In February of 1944 he was united in marriage to his true love, Loretta Linton in Gladwin. They celebrated 56 wonderful years together before she predeceased him in 2000. Victor had lived in Gladwin County for most of his lifetime and he was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Gladwin Moose Lodge 287, Ducks Unlimited, NRA and a life member of the VFW in Gladwin and West Branch Post. He was a quiet, simple man who found value in most everything, and he truly enjoyed collecting many things. His memory will be forever cherished by his sons: Roger (Sandy Brown) Cripps of Florida; Richard (Sandra) Cripps of Farmington; daughter: Sandy (Kevin) Cripps of Beaverton. He was blessed with 3 beautiful granddaughters: Julie (Jon) Hanson of Farmington; Paula (Matt) Thomas of Novi; Melissa (Drew) Youngblood of Livonia; 6 precious great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife: Loretta Cripps; daughter: Sharon Diekman; 2 sisters: Joyce Wray; Marcele Adams; 3 brothers: Ron, Dewey and Lyle Cripps. Funeral Services will be conducted with full Military Honors on Saturday, April 1, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
