Lawrence D. Willford, 88, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away in Midland, Michigan surrounded by his family on Monday, March 20, 2017. He was born in Gladwin on July 20, 1928 the son of Aubrey “Buryl” & Mildred (McCray) Willford. On February 4, 1967 he was united in marriage to Emma Jean Asher in Taylor, Michigan. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County, and he was employed with Stageright in Clare, Michigan until his retirement.  He was an avid gun maker, especially muzzleloaders and he loved motorcycles. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 50 years, Emma Jean Willford of Gladwin; children: Michael (Carol) Willford; Donald (Diane) Willford; Robert Willford; Gregory Willford; Lucy (Elmer) Doan all of Gladwin; Rebecca Willford of Harrison; Lisa (Michael) Bauder of Coleman; siblings: Roger (Betty) Willford; Glen (Rosetta) Willford; Marilyn (William) McMican; Edward (Ida) Willford; Jerry (Virginia) Willford all of Gladwin. He was blessed with 21 beautiful grandchildren and 19 precious great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons: Michael Willford; Donald Willford; Johnny Willford; grandchildren: Jason Willford; Jaime Willford; great grandchild: Mercer Willford; brothers: Roger Willford; Glen Willford; sister: Marilyn Willford. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 24, 2017, 12:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
